Dwarf Sperm Whale

June 4 - 15, 2002, MMC's efforts were given to a dwarf sperm whale, whom we named Doc. He was found beached near Naples, and was transported to the MMC site. Unfortunately, rehabilitation was not successful, but Doc’s data will be used to treat others of his species in the hope that one day we can treat, stabilize and release this species back into the wild. Doc's memory lives in the inspiration of Artist Liz Nicholas.
