How to Help

General Information

How you can get involved as a volunteer for marine mammal strandings depends on where you live: If you live in Southern Florida or the Florida Keys and would like to help out, please contact us at info@marinemammalconservancy.org. We will contact you to see how your talents or desires to help best fit, and direct you to a volunteer training session if appropriate.

Many states don't have a stranding network. In fact, most states have the policy of euthanizing live stranded marine mammals and then performing a necropsy. If you live in Florida, however, there is an extensive network. Some of the organizations use volunteers and others do not. Contact us at info@marinemammalconservancy.org and we will direct you to the closest organization no matter what coastal state you are in.
